Since 2002, we have helped over 100,000 families across the United States through their most trying times. The death of a loved one is a devastating time in life, and every family deserves to be guided through that process. We are dedicated to providing thoughtful, compassionate, and loving support to our members as though they were our own family.

Our Company Constants

FCGS has been around for 20 years. In that 20 years, a few core constants have allowed us to fulfill our promises to our members and their families. These constants are passed down from our founder, who learned these in his years working as a funeral director. We use them daily when we are helping families through their worst days. We also use them in training and when we are setting up our short-term and long-term strategic goals. Funeral Consumer Guardian Society was built with these constants as the foundation.

Who We Are

The Funeral Consumer Guardian Society (FCGS) is an independent senior consumer advocate organization now serving hundreds of thousands of Americans. We are not affiliated with any religion, cemetery, funeral home, or funeral approach.

Our long term goal is to move end-of-life care to a more consumer friendly marketplace by giving the consumer the same knowledge as the funeral director. We are not against the death-care industry, rather, we are fighting for the funeral homes that empower the consumer and do not hide behind outdated lies about products and services.

What We Do

Our mission is two-fold. First, upon a member's death, we help surviving loved ones in charge of funeral arrangements deal with the many details that immediately arise. We aim to facilitate a smooth and easy process during a time of intense emotion and stress.

Second, we are here to help members save money on their funeral while still allowing them to have the funeral that they desire — all without putting any additional financial burden on family or friends.
